WHAT IS GVM?
It stands for gross vehicle mass. This is the limit of weight that your car can support, including your car, your passengers, and your tow ball mass. Again, this is a rating set by the manufacturer that you cannot exceed by law.
DO I NEED TO LOAD MY CAR AND CARAVAN WITH ALL MY CAMPING EQUIPMENT?
Ideally the vehicle and caravan would be loaded as you would normaly travel to give you the most accurate weights. We can also add weights when necessary to help simulate your normal travel. If you normally tow with your tanks full, its a good idea to have them full when we get to your appointment
WHAT REPORTING DO YOU PROVIDE?
After your appointment with Check My Weight you will receive a 4 page document explaining your weights. We additionally provide printed dockets which will show the weight of each wheel, each axle & total weight. This gives accurate weighing & the caravan or vehicle owner good information on weight distribution.
